He attended graduate school at New York University. He acted and taught at the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and Juliiard where his students included Patti LuPone and Kevin Kline. He is an Emeritus Professor of English at California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California.
He is the author of “Shakespeare Spoken Here – A Handbook for Students, Actors and Lovers”.
