12  Why, then, All Souls\u2019 Day is my body\u2019s doomsday.\n13  This is the day which, in King Edward\u2019s time,\n14  I wished might fall on me when I was found\n15  False to his children and his wife\u2019s allies.\n16  This is the day wherein I wished to fall\n17  By the false faith of him whom most I trusted.\n18  This, this All Souls\u2019 Day to my fearful soul\n19  Is the determined respite of my wrongs.\n20  That high All-seer which I dallied with\n21  Hath turned my feign\u00e8d prayer on my head\n22  And given in earnest what I begged in jest.\n23  Thus doth he force the swords of wicked men\n24  To turn their own points in their masters\u2019 bosoms.\n25  Thus Margaret\u2019s curse falls heavy on my neck:\n26  \u201cWhen he,\u201d quoth she, \u201cshall split thy heart with sorrow,\n27  Remember Margaret was a prophetess.\u201d\u2014\n28  Come, lead me, officers, to the block of shame.\n29  Wrong hath but wrong, and blame the due of blame.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
