Elena Hollenbeak, Class of 2023, won the English-Speaking Union\u2019s 40th Annual National Shakespeare Competition on April 24, 2023. She competed on three levels – school, state, and twice at the national level – with Sonnet 14 and Lady Macbeth\u2019s speech from Act 5 Scene 1. She completed a three week program at BADA in London over the summer. Her BADA experience will be a pivotal point in her growth as a theatre artist and exemplifies St. Andrew\u2019s Schools\u2019 mission \u201cTo bring out the best in each student and empower them to K\u016blia i ka Nu’u – Strive for the Highest.<\/em>” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
