<\/span>His books include<i> Shakespeare and the Jews<\/i> (1996), recently republished in a 20<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> anniversary edition<i>; 1599: A Year in the Life of William Shakespeare<\/i> (2005) which won the Samuel Johnson Prize; <i>Contested Will <\/i>(2010); the anthology <i>Shakespeare in America<\/i> (2014); and <i>The Year of Lear: Shakespeare in 1606<\/i> (2015), which won the James Tait Black Prize<i>.<\/i> He has also co-authored and presented two BBC documentaries: <i>Shakespeare: The King\u2019s Man <\/i>and <i>The Mysterious Mr. Webster.<\/i> He serves on the Board of Directors of the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Board of Governors of the Folger Shakespeare Library, is Shakespeare Scholar in Residence at New York\u2019s Public Theater, and has been inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to listen to his interview.
