His Chicago credits include Apemantus in&nbsp;Timon of Athens, Dr. Willis in&nbsp;The Madness of George III and Ross in&nbsp;Macbeth&nbsp;at <a href=\"www.chicagoshakes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chicago Shakespeare Theater<\/a>. He appeared for 14 seasons with the <a href=\"www.osfashland.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oregon Shakespeare Festival<\/a>, seven seasons with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denvercenter.org\/intro.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Denver Center Theatre Company<\/a>, four seasons with <a href=\"http:\/\/shakespearesantacruz.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shakespeare Santa Cruz<\/a> and three seasons with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bard.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Utah Shakespeare Festival<\/a>. Other regional credits include productions at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scr.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">South Coast Repertory<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berkeleyrep.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Berkley Repertory Theatre<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gevatheatre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geva Theatre Center<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcs.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Portland Center Stage<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theoldglobe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Old Globe<\/a> and <a href=\"www.bam.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brooklyn Academy of Music<\/a>. &nbsp;Mr. Newcomb is a founding member of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shakespeare.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shakespeare &amp; Company<\/a> and an adjunct professor in the <a href=\"http:\/\/theatre.ucsd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of California San Diego Department of Theatre and Dance<\/a>. &nbsp;His awards include a Drama Logue Award, Denver Theatre Critics Award and an Oxford Society Award for Artistic Excellence for&nbsp;Richard III.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to listen to his interview.
