Ellen Adair<\/strong> has most recently joined the company of Fiasco Theater\u2019s Cymbeline<\/em>, given an extended Off-Broadway run by TFANA<\/a> and the Barrow St. Theatre<\/a>. Favorite Shakespearean roles include Helena in All\u2019s Well That Ends Well<\/em> (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey<\/a>), Portia in Merchant of Venice<\/span><\/em> and Katherine and the Boy in Henry V<\/em> (American Shakespeare Center<\/a>), Lady Macbeth in Macbeth<\/em> (New Repertory Theatre<\/a>), Lady Percy in 1 Henry IV<\/em> (Folger Shakespeare Theatre<\/a>), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet<\/em> (ShakespeareNow<\/a>), and, at the ripe age of fifteen, Puck in Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em> (Indiana Shakespeare Company). Other Off-Broadway credits: Mint Theatre<\/a>, Pearl Theatre<\/a>, Abingdon<\/a>\/GayfestNYC. Other regional credits: Pioneer Theatre<\/a>, Baltimore Centerstage<\/a>, Huntington Theatre<\/a>, Pennsylvania Shakespeare<\/a>, Kitchen Theatre<\/a>, Publick Theatre of Boston<\/a>, Lyric Stage of Boston<\/a>, SpeakEasy Stage<\/a>, Centastage<\/a>, Actors\u2019 Shakespeare Project<\/a>. TV\/Film: \u201cAs the World Turns,\u201d \u201cBrotherhood\u201d (SHOWTIME), and films about Louisa May Alcott, Louis Brandeis, John Audubon and the \u201cGod in America\u201d series for PBS. While living in Boston, she won awards as Eliza in Pygmalion, Nora in A Doll\u2019s House, and was nominated as Thomasina in Arcadia. She is a self-proclaimed \u201cShakespeare nerd,\u201d and has a book of poems about theatre, plays, and characters, entitled Curtain Speech, coming out within the next year from the Pen & Anvil Press.
