Ms. Wolpe produced, directed and played Iago in &#8220;Othello&#8221; at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostoncourt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Theatre @ Boston Court<\/a>, as well as creating Jaquis in an all-female cowboy &#8220;As You Like It&#8221; and &#8220;Shylock&#8221; in LAWSC&#8217;s production of &#8220;The Merchant of Venice,&#8221; for which the company was nominated for four Ovation Awards, including &#8220;Best Actress&#8221; for Ms. Wolpe. She has produced 14 major Shakespeare plays for LAWSC, directing 12 and starring in them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los Angeles Magazine has called the LAWSC &#8220;one of the 10 coolest things to do in Los Angeles,&#8221; and the company has been featured on PBS, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and London&#8217;s International News. Ms. Wolpe has directed 20 productions of Shakespeare&#8217;s plays and performed leading roles in 17 Shakespearean productions. She has probably played more of the Bard&#8217;s male leading roles than any woman in history and is featured in the book &#8220;Women Direct Shakespeare in America.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other acting and directing credits include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkeleyrep.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Berkeley Repertory Theate<\/a>r, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shakespeare.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shakespeare &amp; Company<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcaonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston Center for the Arts<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arizonatheatre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arizona Theater Company<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdrep.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Diego Repertory Company<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rtwboston.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston Theater Works<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calshakes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California Shakespeare Festival<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swshakespeare.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwest Shakespeare<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/sakren.com\/jared\/ShakespeareSedona.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sedona Shakespeare<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has taught and directed Shakespeare, all levels of Acting, as well as Directing courses for many theater companies and universities, including the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.act-sf.org\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Conservatory Theater<\/a> in San Francisco, <a href=\"http:\/\/dramaticarts.usc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USC<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.class.csupomona.edu\/th\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cal Poly Pomona<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emerson.edu\/academics\/departments\/performing-arts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emerson College<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wellesley.edu\/theatre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wellesley College<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cfa\/theatre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston University<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/theaterarts.mit.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MIT<\/a>, and has lectured widely on cross-gender Shakespeare. Ms. Wolpe was for many years an actor, director and Master Teacher with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shakespeare.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shakespeare &amp; Company<\/a> in Lenox, Mass., and has taught in many other professional training programs across the country, including four years as Director of Text and Performance with the <a href=\"http:\/\/sakren.com\/jared\/2009\/Institute.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sedona Shakespeare Institute<\/a>, and&nbsp; several years with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southwickstudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwick Studios<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acarts.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arlington Center for the Arts<\/a> in Boston.
