IRENE KELLEHER trained with Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Massachusetts and Drama& Theatre Studies University County Cork where she received a first class honours degree and Masters, specialising in Advance Performance Practice. She has just completed a successful run with ‘The Turn of the Screw’ in Smock Alley Theatre, November 2014. She was awarded The Mace Actor of the Year Award in 2011 for her portrayal of Runt in ‘Disco Pigs’ and won many acting awards at her time spent with Kilmeen Drama Group. (Pegeen- Playboy of the Western World and Betty-A Whistle in the Dark). Irene’s performance as Maria in ‘Stars in the Morning Sky’ in the Belgrade Theatre, directed by Hamish Glen, was her UK debut in 2012. More recently she played a lead role in ‘Desolate Heaven’ at the Everyman Theatre, acting alongside well known Irish actress, Mary McEvoy.  She is currently touring with Ian Wild’s one woman show ‘Mrs Shakespeare’ which performed off Broadway this October at the Cherry Lane Theatre, NYC and Stratford Upon Avon at The Bear Pit Theatre -February 2015.
